A small corner for small things.

Tiny Universe is a macro photography journal: flowers, insects and mushrooms, photographed from so close that a petal becomes a landscape.

What you'll find here

Photographs are grouped into rolls, the way film used to come: one place, one season, one mood. Open a roll and scroll through it frame by frame, watching each picture come into focus. Click any photo to look even closer with the magnifier.

If you know what you are looking for, the archive holds every frame and can be searched by subject, species or roll.

Why macro

Most of what is beautiful is also easy to miss. Getting close forces me to slow down, hold my breath and wait for the bee to turn around, and slowing down turns out to be most of the craft.
